I had a great weekend away in the country. There was a beautiful sunset on Friday night, and while I was supposed to be helping out with babysitting duties, I sneaked out an took a few shots into the setting sun. I wish I’d had the tripod with me, but this is my favorite of the bunch. Flowers on their last legs as the day was on it’s last legs.
My Most Awesome - August 2007

Just a quick update on my most “awesome” photos on Zooomr. I’ve been in a bit of a photography fudge over the last few weeks. I think the set-up of Photografr.com has meant that my spare time has been a bit diminished. However there’s loads of stuff happening over the next few weeks so I should hopefully be getting some more new shots into the awesome box.
Think About It: Flight of the Conchords
Chris Nixon | 7 August, 2007If you are not watching Flight of the Conchords, currently showing on HBO then I suggest you get your paws on a copy as soon as possible, by whatever means necessary. The show is about two New Zealanders making their way in New York City. It’s a bit off the wall for US TV (in fact has a very British feel to it) but it’s very funny and their songs are brilliant.
They went through all the traditional paths for success in the UK (Edinburgh Festival, radio comedy and adverts), but got snapped up by HBO in the US before British TV exects saw their full potential.
Enjoy the video above. I think that they may now actually be my favourite comedy band (no offence to The D).
Half Way Point

I’m loving being a dad-to-be. Many guys complain that they don’t get any attention, or they have to put up with the mood swings of their partner, but it’s been brilliant in my experience.
We had our 20 Week scan this week. Everything is fine, so we are starting to get very excited. Before now we have been very cautious, but now it’s time to make proper preparations. We have to think about names, what type of nappies we’ll use, how we’ll decorate the room, even what nursery we’ll send the baby to when herself returns to work…if she returns to work.
Nothing is “Pie in the Sky” anymore. It has become a reality.
